Management Accounting Specialist

QUALIFICATIONS

• University Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, Statistic or similar fields
• Minimum 4 years experience of finance, accounting, budgeting and IFRS reporting or a similar role, preferably in international companies
• Excellent Knowledge of Accounting Processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent knowledge of SAP
• Good financial analysis skills plus the ability to understand and support operational objectives are required in order to translate complex data into actionable insights

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Working closely with different functions to understand business and financial flows.
• Ensure adherence to the BASF Group Accounting standards as well as compliance with local statutory and tax regulations.
• Conduct asset accounting transactions and reports in cooperation with Service Hub (Berlin) considering both Local GAAP and IFRS rules.
• Maintain General Ledger (GL) master data with local GAAP view for relevant globally defined GL accounts.
• Handling General Ledger postings
• Contribute to monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reporting for BASF Group Reporting and Local GAAP, support audit processes by providing data and analysis of queries of audit team.
• Quarterly deferred tax calculation and reporting
• Provide data and calculations for inflation accounting.
• Support budgeting process,
• First point of contact for Business Reporting and Financial Reporting Teams of Service Hub
• Conduct Control Environment process requirements for internal controls.
• Take part in projects in Management Accounting and Financial Reporting Area
